Class Descriptions
Vinyasa 1 (Intro to Vinyasa Yoga)
An intro level class for students brand new to their practice. Vinyasa 1 will help teach students the basics of alignment and how to move with skill and ease on their mat. Props are introduced as tools to educate the musculature of the body to gently build strength and better posture.
This is an ideal class for new students or even intermediate students seeking to review the fundamentals of their asana (posture) practice.

Vinyasa 1-2 (Formerly Slow-Flow)
The perfect class for students seeking a well rounded practice with just a gentle challenge. Here students can expect to learn the mechanics of sun salutations & dynamic movement, a variety of standing postures to build strength & focus, and easy hip openers, twists, & back bends to create balance & mobility in the body.

Vinyasa 2 (Formerly Hot Vinyasa)
In this upbeat class, students will be skillfully guided through a series of both classic and innovative yoga postures. Expect to practice everything you would experience in a Vinyasa 1-2 class along with some slightly more challenging transitions, postures, and variations. Students may also be introduced to some basic inversions (such as handstand at the wall) or arm balances. Expect to break a sweat. This class will challenge students in an intelligent way and build body-mind awareness.
Prior to attending class, a basic understanding of asana (posture) is recommended but not required.

Vinyasa 3 (Formerly Hot Vinyasa)
A challenging and well balanced flow practice for the intermediate and well-seasoned student. Students will flow through dynamic movement such as Surya Namaskar to build heat before practicing a variety of standing, seated, and supine postures. Expect to practice all postures, inversions, and arm balances introduced in Vinyasa 2, along with some more challenging and innovative transitions, postures and variations. This class will challenge students in an intelligent way and build body-mind awareness.

Traditional Flow
Inspired by the Ashtanga Yoga method, this class offers a series of classic asana (postures), and pranayama (breath) techniques taught in a familiar sequence to create stability and ease in the body. Students are encouraged to use breath, movement, and drishti (focus point) to turn their attention inward as they prepare for the higher levels of practice (meditation).

Yin Yoga
A Yin practice is meant to be a compliment to more active and dynamic practices and lifestyles. In this class, students will be guided safely into and out of a series of specific Yin Yoga postures. Yin postures are generally held for a minimum of 3-8 minutes. By holding postures for lengthier amounts of time, students are able to gently stretch the deep connective tissue of their joints. A regular Yin practice will increase mobility and flexibility while also creating a sense of peace and wellbeing in students.

Restorative
Reset and renew with restorative yoga. Using props like a bolster, blankets, and blocks the student will be comfortably supported in a variety of yoga postures inducing extreme relaxation while restoring the nervous system. This class is much less about 'doing' and much more about 'being'. Each posture, generally held for 8-15 minutes, brings a sense of surrender to the body while encouraging a meditative state of the mind. Counteract the effects of chronic stress as you restore harmony to your body, mind and emotions.

Gentle Yoga
A gentle approach to a challenging practice. Students are encouraged to practice loving-kindness on their mats as they explore various fundamental elements of their practice. Props and modifications are incorporated to allow students to find ease and sweetness on their mats. This is a perfect class for students who are seeking a gentle and accessible approach to their practice, especially students in aging bodies, students experiencing fatigue, or students who are recovering from injury.

Healthy Back Basics
Attend a 60 Minute Yoga Class designed to improve back health and prevent low back pain.

Yoga Flex
Yoga Flex integrates weight training with classic yoga asanas. Students will incorporate free weights and other yoga props into their practice to tone and strengthen while improving balance and muscular intelligence. Yoga Flex compliments a more traditional yoga practice and helps to challenge students in a new way.

Prana & Meditation
Enjoy a guided yogic breathing and meditation class to unwind, de-stress and energize the flow of prana in your body and mind. Class will be held in the meditation room just off the lobby. Space is limited to 12 students - registration in advance is strongly recommended!
